I'll dominate 'credible combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for next month's boxing match.

Former two-time world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

Despite these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally known for his dramatics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British rival Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.

"It will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional confrontation, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually happening.
