'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane dampens on Premier League return

Kane celebrates his century goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has stated that his enthusiasm in coming back to the Premier League has faded and he is open to negotiate a new contract with Bayern Munich.

The star striker is currently midway through the four-year agreement he signed when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the transfer window of 2023.

The 32-year-old forward has accumulated an impressive 103 goals in 106 games for the German club, playing a key role in them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which was the initial significant trophy of his illustrious career.

Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has recently stated that he would like to see Kane come back to England, where he lacks 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring milestone of 260.

However, the England leader has now indicated that he is no longer as enthusiastic about coming back home as he earlier was, and would certainly think about extending his tenure in Bavaria.

"In terms of remaining longer, I could definitely see that," he remarked.

"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise I would be prepared to talk and have an frank conversation.

"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so goes and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not focusing about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have realized in my career is that different options and different timings happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."

Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the record top scorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the quickest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five divisions, attaining the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a trophy had escaped him until he won the German title last season.

Kane admits that he was not sure how he would feel after ending his trophy wait, but now thinks it has made him motivated for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.

"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.

"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
